I was born in 1992 in Kozani, Greece, an industrial town known for its once-active power plants and carnival festivities. Due to this town, the films I watched with my dad, and my grandma's folktales, I loved stories from a very young age. I studied Classics in Komotini, Greece (2015), and did graduate studies in French and Comparative Literature at the Sorbonne in Paris, France (2017). In 2022, I successfully defended my PhD in Comparative Literature at the Sorbonne; my doctoral research focused on literary heterotopias in the works of Rabelais, Bulgakov, and García Márquez. My research interests combine the ultra-contemporary novel and cinema with Rabelais's chronicles, and epistemological questions with political theory and events/phenomena. I have also written a novel, Someone Named Galatea (2021, Hestia), various texts for literary magazines (Yusra, Frear) and free-press publications (Together), and have created audiovisual works, the most recent being the narrative podcast Parallel Cities (Thessaloniki Film Festival, 2024). My first short film, which we co-directed with Alex Sotiropoulos, is currently in post-production.
